A toner should last up to six weeks; depending on how frequently you wash your hair. We can recommend take-home products to maintain the freshness of your colour.
A root shadow is a slightly darker root area, with lighter ends. To achieve this look we apply a faintly darker toner to the roots than that which we apply to the ends. This gives a soft, graded contrast between the roots, mid-lengths and ends and helps achieve that lived-in colour look.
Highlights are placed more precisely through the hair, using foils, and generally the hair is highlighted from root to tip. Balayage is painted onto the hair in sections, freehand, usually from the mid-lengths to the ends (or just not all the way to the roots), and then can be separated by either plastic film, foil or sometimes cotton wool while it develops. Highlights allow the colour to develop more and are often more intense, whereas balayage blends more into the natural hair.
A pH-Bonder protects & strengthens the bonds in hair strands while they are being coloured. This means colour can be left on the hair to develop for longer (so the colour can be pushed further) without jeopardising the condition of the hair, the bonds are reinforced so that hair is even stronger post-colour. You will be recommended a pH-bonder should the stylist feel it will be of benefit to you and advise you of this additional cost.
We highly recommend a blow dry with your colour service so that you can see and assess the colour especially if having a change to your regular colour service. It is our policy that first time clients have a blow dry with their colour service to ensure you are satisfied with the final result.
The good news is Blow Dry’s are complimentary when booking a cutting service but unfortunately it is not possible to have a haircut without a blow dry. We need to see the cut when it is dry to assess whether or not it needs extra cutting and perfecting. Cutting the hair dry is a key part of making it perfect.
We use a range of styling products from Balmain, Wella & Neal & Wolf dependant on the look you would like to achieve. Our stylists will talk you through each product used so that you can recreate the look at home.
We want you to leave 100% satisfied with your hair. Please refer to our Policies page for further information.
